I like using my hands in their entirety. Watching the shapes transform and shift, both in gigantic and subtle ways. Making a form that, before I made it, never existed and will never be the same as any other piece ever. The obsessive detail of thinking about how the slightest shape and curve can completely alter how something looks and feels. It makes me notice the curves and edges of other things all around me. I appreciate the pattern on the carpet, or the texture of a rock, or the soft sweet beautiful curves of the human body all a little bit better. It makes me look at the world as more than the sum of its parts.
